This is a technique I love for its unpredictable and almost magical results.
Mocha tea is made by preparing a mix of oxides in a tobacco infusion (or, as an alternative, in vinegar).
The piece is dipped in fresh slip, and then a brush soaked with the oxide mix is brought close to the surface.

On trempe la pièce dans une barbotine encore fraîche, puis on approche le pinceau gorgé de jus : au contact, la solution acide rencontre la barbotine basique… et la réaction crée de fines ramures, comme des petits arbres qui se déploient sur la surface.
